The Sanctum Medical Clinic is a nurse led clinic, based in East Yorkshire. Founded in 2016 by our Clinic Director – Kara Huggins. Kara is a National Trainer and Expert for Vivacy Laboratorie and a member of their esteemed Medical Board.
We have built an exceptional 5 star reputation nationally, for the excellent evidence based treatments and procedures we provide and the clinical education we offer.
We pride ourselves on the high quality care and the attention to detail we apply to our work. Clinical excellence, safety and patient centred holistic care is at the centre of what we do.
We have assembled a team of relatable, experienced, caring and approachable Nurses, Skin Therapists and administrative team members, to ensure your care journey with us is bespoke to you and of the highest standard.
MEET THE TEAM
Kara Huggins
I’m Kara - clinic founder and director.
I’m a registered Nurse with over 10 years of nursing experience and 8+ years facial aesthetic experience. I’m a National Expert for Vivacy Uk - teaching and training medical professionals across the UK in the use of dermal fillers and botulinum toxin type A.
I’m a mum to 3 beautiful children and believe it’s better to have done it and regret it, than to regret never doing it all.
Charlotte cope
I’m Charlotte - skin therapist

I have been in the industry for over 6 years, since graduating from Champneys College in Hertfordshire. I have a passion for skin health - ensuring that clients always get the best treatment and experience tailored for them.

After suffering with acne myself, my aim for clients is to have the best confidence possible. Glowing, healthy skin is the way forward!
Emma Jones
I’m Emma - Nurse Prescriber.
I’m a registered nurse and nurse prescriber with over 22 years experience with 7 years in aesthetics. I’m passionate about the aesthetics industry and love bringing new services to our clients.
I’m a Mum to 2 kids, 2 cats and a dog. I am my own worst critic but learning to be kinder to myself and striving to live my best life.
KERA PETERS
Meet Kera - Clinic Coordinator

With 22 years in customer service, Kera understands the importance of going above and beyond to ensure that every patient feels comfortable and at home from the moment they walk in.
Her attention to detail and dedication to excellent customer care make her an integral part of our team. Kera coordinates the running of clinics at sanctum medical and oversees practice.
AMY BENSON
Meet Amy - Patient Coordinator

Amy has a wealth of experience in customer relations and is your patient care coordinator!

Amy is dedicated to making your experience seamless. Her attention to detail is second to none and she is passionate about ensuring you get the most out of your patient journey.
Amy also manages the training department.
DR JAMES BRITTON
Dr Britton is a well-respected consultant dermatologist and has over 25 years’ experience in the specialty.
He has a large practice of patients with many other skin conditions. These include acne using isotretinoin (Roaccutane) and psoriasis using biologicals (the new injectable treatments for psoriasis). He has a very simple approach to eczema to reduce inflammation in the damaged skin barrier by showing patients how to use topical treatments with excellent results.

Most important to him is to support a person as an individual, knowing how how much long term skin conditions can affect a someone’s life.
ANNA PORTER
Anna is a fully qualified Medical Tattooist, Semi Permanent Makeup Artist, Scar Therapist, Skin Camouflage Practitioner & Advanced Skincare Specialist who works as a medical photographer in the NHS. She became interested in ways to help people recover at the end of their surgical journey, as many patients would feel self-conscious of scarring and felt "incomplete" after breast reconstructive surgery.

She believes that it is important to do everything possible to improve a person's wellbeing and restore their self-confidence following a possibly life changing event. Working together, she will provide a bespoke service, getting the best outcome for you.
